November is upon us already – I can’t believe it!
For me, the last day of October was spent with family. Between 3 adults, we had 4 excitable children on our hands – their ages ranging from 1 to 9!
There was quite a lot going on in our area so we made the most of it! My mam & sister decorated the dining room the night before and it looked amazing. We made the most of my mother’s fake candles so that there were no accidents…
In the morning, we went shopping for some Halloween treats for the kids to eat, including some very tasty black & green French Fancies & green Butterkist popcorn! I also cut up some hot dog sausages to make them look like severed fingers but they didn’t come out as well as I had anticipated – ha!
Once their food had gone down, we took the kids over to the fairground where a green witch was giving out sweets & tickets for one free ride each – they loved it! It was a really sunny day for a British autumn & there were loads of witches & monsters strolling along the beach.
Back at home, the kids did some bobbing apples & got dressed up. We did their make-up & off we went, with a witch & two vampires, around the streets trick or treating – the kids got loads of sweets. Slightly jealous. And we saw some really cool Halloween designs…
I didn’t dress up this year but if I do, I usually dress up as a cat (it’s just so easy to do!) & when I have kids of my own, I know I’ll definitely throw Halloween parties & dress up.
Hope you all had lovely Halloween’s!
Love,
