Hope you’re all doing well,
Just a little blog update on what I’ve been up to – it was my 22nd birthday on Sunday & my best friend surprised me with an eyebrow waxing session at the Benefit store in London’s Covent Garden.
Post-chemo, my hair came back slightly thicker than it was before so my eyebrows always need to be kept in shape & although Benefit is sliiiightly more expensive than my local beauticians, the girl who did them was amazing – so chatty & lovely & talented!
It was only later on that we found out that 100% of the proceeds from Benefit’s brow waxes in May go to Look Good Feel Better (a cancer makeover charity) & Refuge (a charity that supports women & children who have been the victims of domestic violence) as part of their Bold is Beautiful campaign. Although I’ve never been the recipient of a Look Good Feel Better makeover, I think the whole premise of the charity is amazing & it was so weird how everything seemed to interconnect without our knowledge! Because the money is going to charity, Benefit is also giving out ‘gimme brow’ gel when you get a brow wax with them as a thank you gesture – it’s usually £18.50! 🙂 I’ve never used anything on my eyebrows before & this stuff is just great!
Then we went & demolished a 20 inch pizza at a place called Homeslice around the corner – soooo good!
Everyone go & get your brows waxed while it’s still May!
